Interested in starting a Brothers and Brews Bible study?
First, please read through the requirements:
No formal church leadership in group
Brothers and Brews thrives on its commitment to peer-driven discussion, ensuring everyone feels comfortable sharing openly. As a result, it is best to exclude anyone serving in a formal leadership role including, but not limited to: Pastors, Priests, Bishops, Archbishops, Monsignors, Reverends, Elders, Ministers, and Vicars.
If you serve in a formal leadership role as described, or want them to be a part of the study, please consider starting Pub Theology instead. It’s purpose and vision will be a much better fit.
Anchored by a church
While Brothers and Brews is a peer-led study, anchoring ourselves to a supporting church provides invaluable benefits which include:
• The backing of an established community: A church provides a strong foundation and a pool of potential members.
• A bridge for deeper engagement: A church allows for continued exploration of topics, offering a pathway for those seeking further guidance.
• Accountability and Stability: A church provides a level of accountability and stability. This ensures that our discussions remain grounded in God's word, while still enjoying the fellowship of our group.
• Service and Outreach Opportunities: A church can open doors for the group to participate in service and outreach projects, putting our faith into action.
A genuine facilitator
The leader of a Brothers and Brews group is God. While that role is filled, we do still need a facilitator. The facilitator helps walk everyone through the study, but cannot get in the way of how God leads people through the conversation. This is very freeing as the facilitator doesn't have to be the most knowledgeable person in the group.
Now that you understand the requirements, if you are still interested, reach out and let's talk.
